Unns is a story of love beyond any terms and conditions. An unusual  romance set  in the backdrop of thrill and adventure. Briefing about the book goes like this-

“Of course you know about the seven stages of love, but have you ever lived them?” Atharva Rathod and Meher Qasim. Lovebirds since adolescence. Bonded by love, separated by circumstances. They part ways only to meet again. But this time, he is on a secret mission… Are they in control of their own destiny, or its their destiny which is making them dance to its tunes? Only time would answer, as Atharva and Meher unwillingly and unknowingly transcend the seven stages of love.”

A quintessential tale of love and romance marked beautifully by its own rustic old school charm.

Sapan Saxena is a software engineer by profession, an author by choice, and an awesome guy by nature. Born in the city of NawabsLucknow, he earned his Engineering degree from MNNIT Allahabad.  Sapan started writing when he was coding for a complex algorithm and found that a fictional story would atleast make some sense.

Sounds relatable, right? Engineers have a love for decoding the tangled web of emotions.

Currently based in Nashua, New Hampshire, he is the author of the highly acclaimed FINDERS, KEEPERS. His blogs and articles have often found place in the Times of India.  UNNS-The Captivation is his 2nd attempt at writing fiction. A doting father, a loving husband, a caring son, Sapan loves to spend time with his family and somehow manages to divide his energy between his work and his passion for writing.

Talking about the plot of his book he says, “ Well, the best of the ideas come when you are stuck in traffic and FM is playing government ads. I wanted to write an intense love story without the usual dose of new age social media hook ups and break ups, yet keeping it modern. That is when I conceived the story of UNNS. I realized if I simply write a love story, I may end up making it mundane, so I added the element of thrill in it. When I pitched it to The Book Bakers for finding a suitable publisher, they helped me improve it and make it more crisp. Then definitely there was an air of curiosity around the cover. Maybe the entire effort helped the book make it to the charts.”

Another interesting thing about the book is blending the concept of seven stages of love that fits in so perfectly that it gives goosebumps to its readers. A novel idea that gave that extra edge to the book.

He elaborates on this in his own style.

“Well I took the inspiration from “Satrangi Re” from Dil Se. The song in its lyrics and picturization(and even the title, if you notice) is all about the seven stages of love. See for me, any story has to be built upon a very basic and pure human emotion. If this is about love, I brought in the purest of emotions via the seven stages of love, then added the flavor of thrill into it. Some reviewers have praised the book majorly because of the way the chapters are broken down into the seven stages.”

“So, unlike the rest of the book, the ending is not at all “on your face”, and may end up confusing some people, and there are two reasons I kept it that way.Firstly, the answers to all your questions lie somewhere in the entire book. If you have questions like “why” and “how”, the answers are very much there, you just need to find them.
Secondly, as one reviewer has commented, readers interpret the ending as a version of their own story, and that has happened! Some people thought the ending was revenge, some thought it was sacrifice, some thought it was regret, and some thought it was pure love.  From an author’s point of view, the entire story makes the most sense, if you interpret the “pure love” ending. Rest assured, choose the ending you like, and let me know about it.”

UNNS is riding high on Amazon with reviews pouring every single day. That in itself is a proof that book is striking a chord with the readers and reviewers.
